The Legend of the Legion of Lovers



Centuries ago, Cupid, son of Venus, was chosen to command an army on a mission to destroy all evil and hate and bring love to the world. He and his Legion of Lovers, faced off in an epic battle against Satan and his Demons. Cupid stood tall, with his Adonis-like figure and large white wings spread, along side his beloved beautiful wife, Psyche. The pair stood in front of the thousands of soldiers in the Legion. Across the red skied dystopian desert valley, was the Devil, who was perched atop the mountain high above his giant army of red-eyed black winged demons prepared for battle below. The Lovers were armed and ready with their arrows of lead drawn and black flags impaled in the dried cracked desert surface. At the sound of the trumpets, Cupid ordered his army to fire at will. Satan unleashed a deafening growl to signal his attack. The leather winged Demons darted through the air at the command of their crimson savior. Arrows rained down from the skies. Fire scorched the Earth. The roar of Demons could be heard across the land. Angels came screaming down from Heaven with golden swords to aid Cupid and his army of love. Winged creatures crashed to the ground with pierced arrows through their bodies.  Feathers fell to the Earth like snowflakes from the broken wings of angels. The Lovers were advancing ever so closer to Satan. They could feel victory in their grasp. Out of desperation, the Devil launched himself from atop his mountain and swooped in to capture Cupid’s lover, Psyche, in his claws before cowardly retreating back to the Underworld. Cupid flew after them, though Satan and Psyche had vanished. ‘No!!’ Cupid cried out. He fell to his knees with his head in his hands. He turned around to see the carnage and destruction left behind. Bodies and carcasses  littered the landscape. A sea of roses marked the spots of those of the Legion who had fallen.  Rage had overcome Cupid. With his mission left incomplete, He vowed to never rest until one day be face to face with the Devil again and rescue the love of his life.

The year is now 2020. The rise of the darkness built to A seemingly beyond repairable level. The Devil has unleashed a plague among the human race. Destruction and Violence has become a daily widespread occurrence. Recognizing the Satan’s work, Cupid has returned to fly amongst the mortals. With a vengeance, he is determined to complete his mission to rid the evil in the hearts of mankind, restore love on Earth and rescue his lover. Fully armored in black, displaying a symbol of a bleeding heart on his sleeve and golden arrows in his quiver, he set out In search To recruit his new army of  lovers.  those struck by Cupid’s golden arrow, the chosen ones, felt an uncontrollable desire of love and determination to vanish all that is hateful. One by one, he picked his new soldiers. At the same time, the Devil has also been expanding his army. He has imprinted on selected souls at birth with their fates already written that they will one day serve under his rule.
